Tabilo Out for Several Weeks and Likely to Miss Wimbledon

Alejandro Tabilo’s 2025 season has taken a turn for the worse. The 28-year-old Chilean, who injured his left wrist during the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 (where he still managed to defeat Novak Djokovic), was sidelined for a month and a half before making his comeback at Roland-Garros. After his victory against Arthur Cazaux in Paris, he fell in the next round to Alexei Popyrin. However, last week at the Prostejov Challenger in the Czech Republic, the world No. 56 suffered another setback. During his semi-final loss to Tseng Chun-Hsin (6-4, 6-1), Tabilo sustained an injury to another part of his body and will now be out for several more weeks, as he confirmed himself on his Instagram account in recent hours. "Hello everyone! I wanted to let you know that today, several tests we conducted confirmed the injury we feared. I have a grade 3 tear in my rectus abdominis muscle. This is very bad news for the coming weeks, and I won’t be able to compete in the upcoming tournaments. We don’t yet know when I’ll be able to return, but we’ll work hard to try and come back as soon as possible. I hope you understand and will continue to support me. I’ll see you when I return," wrote Alejandro Tabilo on his Instagram this Saturday. This situation means that, barring an unexpected turnaround, he will likely miss Wimbledon, which begins on 30 June. Last year, the Chilean reached the third round on the London grass.
