Queen’s ATP 500 Tournament Draw: Alcaraz to Face Davidovich Fokina in Opener, De Minaur, Mensik, and Rune Tested Early

As every year, the prestigious Queen’s tournament will take place in the men’s draw. This time, the event has seen several high-profile withdrawals, including defending champion Tommy Paul, last year’s finalist Lorenzo Musetti, and two-time winner (2021, 2022) Matteo Berrettini. However, the draw remains competitive, and the players in London will fine-tune their preparations for Wimbledon. Carlos Alcaraz, the 2023 champion, will be the top seed and will face his compatriot Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the first round. If he advances, he will meet either Jordan Thompson or Jaume Munar. Reilly Opelka, meanwhile, will take on Camilo Ugo Carabelli, with the winner potentially facing Ben Shelton if he overcomes a qualifier. The draw features several exciting matchups in the section of the two-time Roland-Garros champion: Holger Rune vs. Matteo Arnaldi, Gaël Monfils vs. Grigor Dimitrov, and Cameron Norrie vs. Jakub Mensik. Dark horse Alex De Minaur will start his campaign against Jiri Lehecka, while Taylor Fritz will face a qualifier in his opener. He could meet Jacob Fearnley in the round of 16. Another Frenchman in the draw, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, will play Brandon Nakashima, while Jack Draper—who knocked out Alcaraz in this tournament last year—will take on Jenson Brooksby.
