Sinner on expectations about his comeback: "The first matches will be very tough"
Jannik Sinner is just two weeks away from his return to competition. The world No. 1 will have the chance to make his comeback on the courts of the Rome Masters 1000, in front of a crowd that will be fully behind him.
In comments shared by Tennis.com, the Italian was cautious about his ambitions:
"Now that we are less than a month away from the deadline, I am training extremely hard. I hope to regain some momentum before this clay season. It won’t be easy. The first matches will be very tough."
Sinner also spoke about this break from professional tennis that allowed him to recharge:
"At the start of the three-month period, it was nice. Having some time away from the routine, spending time with family and friends… I was doing new things and got to know myself better. I think it helped me a lot."
